It's not the contacts themselves that bother me so much as the range and the efficiency. Seriously, these things are better at detecting targets while plowing ahead on the surface at 15 knots than my Seawolf creeping along at 5kt submerged in DW

Well, Das Boot reflected sailorspeak pretty well. Privately we didn't always call it the 'head' either.
