It is a feature that can be disengaged!...Then it only appears for certain killing shots!...

Hitting a human silhouette has other consequences than just seeing it collapsing to hit the ground!

I know that it can be turned off. I think it's kind of interesting...but no guy can watch what I did in the demo and not think about how much that would hurt.

By the simple fact that you are asking yourself the question, and reflect on what could be happening for the other guy, makes that game interesting.

In contrast to so many other shooters where players don't care to wonder with empathy what could be happening for the enemy, and comment "Get some! Yeah!".

Sniper Elite V2 could be the Tactical shooter that triggers empathy in a very unique way!

Interesting isn't it!

I agree.

You have to think realistically in ballistics. That's what I like. I have the original game's demo on my Computer. It's also fun...but it doesn't have the X-Ray vision thing.

Having played Sniper Elite V2 I like the fact that you have to take into account everything in the situation before you squeeze the trigger and afterwards. I think of Sniper Elite V2 as a tactical shooter since you have to think about every move you make long before you ever make it," If I move here I can see the enemy better but would this spot make it easier for them to attack me? If I shoot from here can the enemies get to me and if so do I have a path of escape? If I shoot enemy C first, should I do so when enemies A,B, and D are in an area where they can't fire and to move to a spot where they can would expose themselves to my fire?" What I also like is how every mission is dynamic, sure it starts and ends the same but everything in-between can be different.

See, Russians do try to bite the bullet.

I spy with my little ey... never mind.

Shoots guy in chest, detonates grenade?!

Never reload when the other guy can still see you.

Ever try killing the enemy sniper by shooting his scope? It works.. sort of.

I agree!

The only detail that disappointed me, when using a scope-less firearm, the iron sights were not accessible.

Shogun 2 Total War

When using Ashigaru units against the enemy's Samurai units, casualties is not uncommon.

I won the battle, but I lost quite a lot of soldiers.

At that level, you have to admit it.
