Default Help me understand a kissing ritual I saw

The other day I was in our local hospital and I observed a woman, about 20-30, greeting a older man and woman couple (most likely family) with a kissing ritual I have not seen before. It was done quickly and without pretension and it was performed identically on the man and woman. It was the younger woman doing the greeting.

She kissed the right cheek, the left cheek, the forehead, and the upper chest.

What culture is this from. I am familiar with kissing the cheeks and kissing the forehead, but I had never observed the two cheeks, forehead, and chest done like that.

My immediate thought was that it was some religious ritual as it seemed to be marking the directions of the cross. Of course, I could be totally off base with this.

Anyone know anything about this type of kissing greeting?
