Fix This Sim Ubi!!!

I too agree with what is being said in this thread.
Its unfortunate, but evey pc title that interests me happens to be a ubi-suck product.
And this is always the same dilemma,a decent game with tons of potential that never quite becomes as good as it should be........
Patch the goddamn sim already...
That is all

I cannot be considered a hard-core simmer. However, submarine games really interest me. I cannot, for the life of me, begin understanding complex procedures to determine target speed. I need it to work as advertised. The game has been on the shelf since day 1.

I really want to continue to support Ubi with silent hunter 5. However, my interest in submarine simulations will dwindle if I cannot even play sh4.

ESPER out...

Yesterday I played multilayer game with two fellow (Spike and Mac) that I'm used to play with. Two Baloa and one Gato Class and we liked a lot our game. We were every time telling all the good of the new patch 1.2 and the nice graphic now that we were witness off. Everything was more stable. No crash, no boat up side down, no warping or just a little.

Still some torpedoes were turning around, some boats were nearly unsinkable and even hurt with many torpedoes, half submerged like us and were running at 16-18 knots after 20 minutes. Sometimes with half of the propellers stopped. And 1 hour to sink it, with imagine the number of amunition to load it. Some Carrier and boat attitude also .They reversed and stopped like a car without any inertia in less than a minute. No I don't think it does work this way even if I m not a specialist.

I think lot of good work have been made on this game and it still have some minor ajustment now to be done in order to get a final game. Ya this is true with all the gratitude for the SH4 team that developed for us this handsome game we hope the 1.3 on the table. Maybe also to add some small items in order to let the multiplayer experience much more fun. Ya small things at this stage of the game will give great amount of value.

I know asking to see the boat crew panicking and feel them to repair the boat in panic or grab prisoners for extra points are maybe a bit to much to ask, but it's not what I noticed that is missing from my point of view.

Zorg the Zorgy

PS: I still wonder why some details from SH3 were removed: Result details table and the select in order by column at the end of the game.

I don't want to see SH5, not that they'll make one anyway.I would rather see a submarine sim made by someone else who is capable of providing decent or better support and a decent work schedule for the developers so it doesn't end up like crap.

SH4 is desperately in need of some official fixing, without the incredible support of the modding community SH4 woul still be unplayable - as it is the game has managed to lose my interest by throwing so many glaringly stupid things into the mix that I realised it was more frustrating than entertaining. The contrast in support between UBI and other companies I buy from is marked.

The decision UBI makes to finish this game will affect my decision to purchase any more UBI products.

Default realistic simulation

Though Ace of the deep was a realistic simulation game, SH3 was not a realistic simulation game.
I do not purchase SH4 yet because I was disappointed by SH3.
I hope ubi can fix the problem.

Default Return to Excellence

I shall heartily give my agreement to Neal on a patch for Silent Hunter IV. I am a veteran of the old days, when we struggled through the multiple bugs and disappointments of the then-famous Silent Hunter II. For two sims I have travelled the seas as a Kaleu, driving a rusted, weatherbeaten VIIC across the Atlantic. Let us now have the completion of patch 1.3, in order that the return to the classical American submarine might be a return to excellence in the Pacific-and a mark up for the development team of Ubisoft. Let us not have another pre-patch Silent Hunter II on our hands, but a well-developed and fully-armed boat for the Pacific theater. My regards to Neal and any old salts who may still be here; I have not been here for a long time. Auf Wiedersehen, until the next sailing. To Ubisoft, this: Silent Hunter III was a step up. Please continue to return to excellence when you develop a new subsim. Danke.

The U-3816.

I agree Neal's statement.
I had played and enjoyed SH3 a lot, but SH4 is far from be a completed and worthy game. Customers needs better attention from UbiSoft, or the softhouse will lose their support.

When I purchased SHIV and saw what a flawed piece of work it was I was furious.

Probably more than some others, never the less I tried to cool off and listened to posters, with the hope that some patching would repair this potentially wonderful simulation which at the moment is not close to wonderful at all..
We have now had two patches released.
The first one after all the initial noise and (rightful) disappointment from customers, and the second one after more continous frustration that SHIV was still far from being a stable platform that it "should" be.
The owness is on your Dev team to fix this .
In closing I ask Ubisoft directly the question,"Why do you think Oleg Maddox is held in so much respect by gamers that have bought his flight sims?
