Another difference between the Balao and Tench classes were that the Tench boats had slow running direct drive main motors. The Balao's had a reduction gearbox between the electric motors and the propellors hence the Tench class was quieter when submerged than the preceeding classes of submarines. Not quite sure how you could model that in SH4 though!

There has to be a Tench config file that dictates detection based on speed.
