speed underwater increase help

ok so i downloaded the xvii u boat mod underwater it went at 17 knots and on the surface 15 you can look it up if you want the same with the ixd2 it only went a 10 knots underwater 25 surfaced but all the subs on sh4 are set at the same spee underwater full ahead 7 knots so i want to know if you can change the speed someone help me

if you download Akula it'll go 40 some knots underwater, much better than tinkering with game files if you ask me.
