How about just plugging it in? There is no master/sub.

Is this from your ISP? It sounds weird. I have 8 devices in this house with internet access. Get a router that can do NAT (Network Address Translation). The router will be the sole IP leased from your ISP, and then plug all your systems into it.

From what you describe, you are leasing more than one IP from your ISP and it is rare that an ISP allows for more than one IP lease.

A cheap router will run you $20 to $30. A good one will run about $150. A $20 router will do fine though unless you want QoS but I doubt you would be ready to tackle that just yet.

Hope it helps. Its an easy way to put a dozen computers on the internet without paying for extra IP's from your ISP.
