Default Plotting Attacks

Maybe I'm being very dense about this, but how can I conduct a torpedo attack on a target?? I know the basic means about going about it......but I can't seem to find a TDC or anything to actually input any information, nor can I find a way to bring up a stopwatch so I can mark points on the map and gather target data.

I'm playing the German campaign, and using RFB 2.

Any advice please?

I too had some dificulties when voyaging from SH4 to U-Boat Missions.

When you have periscope up (or are using the uzo) a sort of a white notepad appears on the top right of the screen, does it not? With three lines, which talk about range, speed and angle on the bow.

They are clickable. Explore them.

In the AOB indicator, you can manually set it.

In the range indicator, there is an icon in the lower left (of the same notepad) which is the stadimeter. Just click on it, and do the usual (matching the top mast of one image, on the lower waterlevel of the other).

In the speed indicator, there is (as I recall it) a button which you press so that your TDC can estimate its speed, as long as you did at least two different range measurements (which must be at least a few seconds apart. I usually do several, to narrow down the estimate).

Hope that's helpful.

Oh by the way, what I said is presuming that you are familiarized with manual approach and aiming. If you're not, tell me so and we'll try to describe here a sort of guideline to that, if you like.

I'm not sure RFB is meant to be used with U-boat missions.

TorpX is right, Real Fleet Boat overlooked the German side of play due to its intended need to make the "Fleet Boat" its main playable side. Using RFB and the German side of play will cause problems. Some entries will just not work correctly because they wern't modded for the German side of play. I've not tried it, but Operation Monsun (OM) may be your best choice for a modded game.
