WOW!!!! What a great job once again by the Dev team. I have never died so much before.I was just sunk by a Swordfish Bi-plane. They carry 3 bombs in GWX 2.0 now. I say "save early and often". Dev team keep up the good work.

Remember, aircraft were the bane of the U-boat. You may have some limited success against them... but it will usually come at a price... and you just don't have enough ammunition to fight them in a sustained fashion.

If you detect them... you should be crash diving ten seconds ago. Happy hunting!!

I hope life on the U.S.S. Texas is treating you well, mate. Glad you are enjoying our work.

Do not underestimate the humble Swordfish, they were the bane of a good part of the Italian fleet, Bismarck and several U-boats.

Hi Guys,

First of all, can I say "great mod!"

However, I do have a couple of questions. Is it possible to disable the slideout gauges, and chronometer, as these really bug me when I move the mouse to the side of the screen? Also, can the extra conversion and mine charts be removed from the map screen, as I'm not keen on these either?

Otherwise, I'm loving the work.

Cheers,
Jez

Not without a lot of work mate.

Considering the enormity of the work to get GWX 2.0 out... We hope you understand that the idea of MORE work makes us want to kick something at the moment.

You might try OLC's interface mod on top of GWX and see if it suits you.

Otherwise, welcome to Subsim Jez.

Default I miss my U mark

Love it to bits. There would have to be something wrong with a player not to be in awe of GWX 2 (and the team who created it)

But I really miss my U mark. You know that little orange whatsit that shows where you are when you have dived. Its still there in the Data/Misc file but its does not show upo in the game. I would really like to know where my bows are during an attack (or during an evasion manouvre for that point)

Any way of making the U mark work in GWX 2 ?

Default Icon tail and background music in GWX 2.0

Beautiful work here and I am most grateful for the countless hours put in by the GWX volounteers! I am only now beginning to familiarize myself with all the changes.

There are a couple of things that I would like to go back to as I had them before but I don't remember how to do it!

1. I would like to put the "tail" back on the map sub icon but I don't remember how.

2. I would like to turn off the background music and leave the gramophone music alone but again I don't remember how. When I moved all the background music to a renamed folder, the game crashed to the desktop right at "Not so long ago....". When I restored it to the original sound folder, it started normally.:hmm:

Thanks for all the good work!

Not sure how to put tails back, haven't used them "forever"

Turn the music "off" in the sound options menu.
