Good nonfiction modern nuclear/electric sub books?
I'm looking for a nonfiction book on modern nuke boats or elec/diesel boats, 688i during Iraq conflict etc.
Not particularly interested in deep character studies. I would mostly like to understand how the captain (or whoever wrote the book) operated leading up to / during a mission or campaign. I'd like to improve my knowledge about tactics and strategy and apply the skills to sims like DW, Harpoon etc. A lot of this info seems to still be classified so I understand it might be a tall order, but one can still hope. Any suggestions welcome. No fiction stuff unless it's clearly based on reality, please. |
