Ah...yes, I see. If you can travel down around Volgograd on June 1st, 2030 then you can see an annular eclipse. Not quite as spectacular as a total eclipse, but it doesn't look like western Russia will see one of those until 2061. |

Im almost ready I even broke down and purchased a dual axis motor for my equitorial mount. Hope the skies are clear, Im prepared to travel last minute to find them. Pretty excited about this.

The Time animation shows what the eclipse might look like through an equatorial mounted telescope. For an observer simply looking through some eclipse glasses, the Moon will appear to take a curved path relative to the Sun.
