Snaptrap, I would think you, of all people, would understand that just because a mod is a so-called 'smaller' mod does not mean it is not necessary- especially after your rant in your SilentFire mod about not being appreciated. Strange that one who felt like his work went unappreciated and didn't find it a pleasant experience would come here and say something like that. As for me, I have, and will continue to use EE until Kriller and W_clear get their super environment mod out, simply because I find it a better, more realistic experience. Keep up the good work, W_clear, and you'll always have my support. |

Sorry about my recent comment. I guess with all the critisism I've received from from my art to my mods, it finally built up to the point where you explode.

I have a 128MB graphics card and have awful framerates with Environmental Effects turned on. This is not to complain or to ask for any help, but just to say that I tried this Environment mod and it makes a major improvement...with EE turned off! Even with very low graphics settings I'm getting a lovely ocean and sky.
Thanks, W_clear!

Steve, when I was using an older card, I got a fps-boost by setting Anisotropic Filtering to 4x (instead of 16x, which I picked for most other games).
Try it! Maybe you can increase other settings this way.
