Sound issues running submerged

Hi All! I'm new to the forum, but not new to Silent Hunter III or Subsim.com.

I've been playing SHIII for a while now (v1.4) with RUb1.45 updated sounds mod. Sometimes, after using and exiting the hydrophone operator's station to the control room, there is a constant, loud "bow wave" sound effect that won't go away until I resurface. This seems to only happen submerged. Does anyone have any ideas on the solution to this issue? Thank you!

I have a suspicion that there's a sequence of actions on the player's part which leads to the annoying "waterfall" sound, but I've yet to replicate it. I'm using 1.4 without your sound mod, so it seems that mod isn't the cause. Only solutions I've found are to wait 'til it goes away, or save and reload.
