Upgrade Launcher in U-Boat Missions?

Does U-Boat Missions Add-On include an upgrade launcher? For some reason it didn't work in my original Silent Hunter IV and I can't find it anywhere to test it. I'm using Windows Vista 64-bit.

You mean the Auto patch system? Click on the GU.exe file found in SH4 folder.

I will exploit this thread and ask completely irrelevant question, but does Silent Hunter IV installation program add shortcuts to desktop? Or do they go automaticly to the Vista Games folder?

I'm not sure about Vista, but it did on my XP. But my laptop runs Vista, and usually games appear on the desktop fine (assuming you selected to have a shortcut)

Just reinstalled the game, but the updater won't work. Says something about the missing MFC71.dll file. And the GU.exe is not in the SH4 folder, maybe it comes with the 1.4 patch.
