Default Only a fool worship war

Only a fool worship war

But it's foolish not being prepared for it

`cause the one who only prepare for peace will ending up being one.

America and the USN have always been about peace and freedom ...

If you fire first we fire second

I always thought it odd to name a Fleet Ballistic Missile submarine the USS Will Rogers who is quoted as having said,

"I never met a man that I didn't like"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/41_for_Freedom

Quote:
41 for Freedom refers to the US Navy Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) submarines from the George Washington, Ethan Allen, Lafayette, James Madison, and Benjamin Franklin classes. All of these submarines were commissioned 1959-1967, as the goal was to create a credible, survivable sea-based deterrent as quickly as possible.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Ci...risti_(SSN-705)

"The "City of" prefix was added before its 1983 commissioning to clarify that the ship is meant to honor the city, in response to Catholic politicians who protested against naming a warship using Latin words which translate to "Body of Christ."

Putin warns the threat of nuclear war should not be underestimated

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that the threat of a
nuclear war should not be discounted and criticized the U.S.' move
to withdraw from an international nuclear treaty.

I think the answer lies in this true story told to me by a friend who attended a neighbour's funeral a couple of years back

Another neighbour, who is a local worthy and parish councillor and who has to involve himself in local events whenever he can as a steward or supervisor... had insisted on being in charge of the CD player for the requested music after the service

When the pall-bearers came and lifted the casket there was a sudden loud crackling from the back of the chapel and a voice boomed out: "WAR!! (huh... yeah...) What is it GOOD for? (Absolutely nothin')"
