Default Strange AI sub behaviour DWX 1.0

Hello!


While I was trailing a Delta III I got strange feeling there is something wrong with target. So, I went on and set up a simple test. I placed a 688 within a mile of Delta III class sub in war time to see how Delta will react after it has made contact with 688. First I made some noise with 688 (flank speed, running around the enemy), and finaly even gave it continuous active sonar - no reaction at all. Just making steady 5 knots to the North. Finaly finished the boomer with single Mk 48, and target did not even considered any evasion. After Delta III I have now tried with Delta IV, Typhoon, and Vic III - every time same thing. Then I changed sides, took Vic III myself and gave 688 to AI. Same thing again. No other problems with mod, which I think is beautifully build.

Anyone else found same kind of problems? Could be installation problem, but as the game is running stable (well, "stable" and DW...) it's somewhat hard to believe in that.

And maybe someone could do something as simple as I have done, and check the results? And maybe also with 1.1 too?

It is known default bug from SCS.

Consists in the following:

The doctrine can not receive NEWTRACK a signal from the engine of game.
When the target is too close, the start of the doctrine occurs to some lateness. And NewTrack - does not act in the doctrine.

It is well visible on mines.

If in the beginning mission the target IS CLOSER than maximal distance of a sensor control - then newtrack will not arrive in the doctrine.

For example - distance of a sensor control of the mine of 200 meters. If you arrange the ship in the beginning of mission closer than 200 meters - then the mine will not blow up.

Now we work above elimination it bug.
It is necessary to say, that the game was made by the guys with very curve hands...

So fix also outdated Russkie subs by bringing them back to present reality and there will be completely cool!

You must be right, it must be one of the original bugs, as same thing is happening with LWAMI also. So, no mod releated, which is a good news!
