"The Charge of the Light Brigade" 1968.

The movie was made in the late '60s at the height of the Anti Vietnam War Movement and reflects the sentiments of those times.

The trailer's better than the movie....but that's just me liking the Errol Flynn 1936 version better.....fellow Aussie, and all that.

A docu/talk about the movie "Vanishing Point" 1971 by people involved in the making of it.

There's quite a few of these on the 'net...people love the movie

......even if they don't really understand it. There's so many interpretations of just "wtf, was that all about???"

From what I can gather, the director was given "the hurry up" by the studio. There was so much more of the script he wanted to shoot and put in the film, but time and money were a real issue. So in a rage of frustration he tore out a huge chunk of the script ( literally ), and shot the night scene with Charlotte Rampling - The Grim Reaper/Death....we're talking philosophers territory now.

Anyway, a GREAT film, cult classic.

Gilda Texter shared some amusing aspects of her role in "Vanishing Point" in one of the other docos. The poor girl had to ride the Honda ( with a vinyl seat ) naked in 120 F in the desert - no shade. She got badly sunburnt and blistered on her...

. And she was terrified of falling off onto a cactus
