60 Hz is the max refresh rate if V-Sync were to work (Dangerous Waters doesn't really respond to trying to force things through the driver, though). If you run a frame rate through your monitor that is faster than 60 Hz, it will simply display multiple frames at the same time and the picture may look like it's "tearing". It's possible this could be doing the mouse thing, but I haven't encountered such an issue (no v-sync here).

Yup... in between the time I posted and you replied, I found a note on Google saying I should add the .SoftwareCursor Yes line to my Graphics are of the file- it actually not only does not help (when I add it), but when I then quit the game and go back into the file, it no longer appears, even though I am positive and triple-checked-triple-tried that I put it there.
I can play the game with the mouse trails, it just kind of sucks, that's all.
