Default Ships Not Sinking in SH5

Hello everyone. I started playing Silent Hunter 5 about a week ago. Great game, especially with the mods. People have done some amazing work. I have encountered one rather odd problem since I added on a bunch of additional mods though. For some reason, ships have stopped sinking. Whenever I destroy a ship it counts as an accomplished objective but the ship doesn't display as destroyed on the navigation map and it physically doesn't sink. Out of frustration I flooded all tubs and launched 4 torpedoes simultaneously at a merchant ship. After a great explosion the ship broke in half... and then both halves separated and floated on their merry way. Talk about a buoyant ship.

I looked around the forum and in the "Bugs Glitches and Issues" thread but no one else seems to have had the problem.

Mods activated in order activated:

Mighty Fine Crew
Reworked Morale
Dynamic Environment
Equip_Upgrades
FX_Update
SteelViking's Interior
IRAI
NewUIS by The DarkWraith
Open Horizons II

Thank you for your time!

Weird, your mod soup shouldnt cause any such bug :hmmm2:

By any chance, have you patched the game with the damage repair patch by TDW?

P.S: welcome aboard Nogard

Welcome to SubSim Nogard!

If you have patched the game with AI Crew Damage Control patch as Gap said then look at this post and below - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...postcount=1105

It also looks as if you have tried to activate the main UI folder.
You will need to go into this New UI's folder and get the actual UI from it and activate that.

There were actual ships during the war that broke in half and didn't sink at all, or one half sank and the other was towed to safety. Unless it happens every time I wouldn't worry about it.

Did you check to see if it was reported as sunk, and did you get credit for it?

Nogard, they will eventually sink but it could take a long time. Besides, if you can get in close fast enough they will afford you protection from the escorts trying to sink you, because you torpedoed what they were supposed to be protecting. It can mean saving your sub and crew from meeting Davy Jones.... or not.
