Annoying Aspect

I have noticed whilst playing the American side that, when one is given a 'patrol' mission, the yellow icon does NOT show the mission as completed. No matter how long one patrols are how many ships one sinks the mission is NEVER registered as completed, even though one HAS completed it??????

Anyone else noticed this?????

It should change from yellow to gray once your objective is complete. Is your mission listed as complete when you check the mission objectives board (F12)?

So if you're playing the American side, why post it in the U-Boat forum?

I have yet to have a mission not show up as completed.

Are you talking about the star with the flag or the one with the binoculars? If its the second one you need to stay within a certain distance of it to complete the mission. I usually park directly on top of it and use TC until i get a mission complete and then i go patrol the area.

It may well happen on the German side, I haven't tried that yet, but yes!

The mission is to patrol a given area, (don't matter where), so you go and the yellow marker is showing you where you need to be, but, as I patrol, I make sure that I sail through the marker, but it never gets 'dull'??? So, I patrol the area as requested and return to base with a 'not completed' mission, when I bloody-well HAVE completed the mission!

To you guys who are sensitive as to which department postes really belong. Please spare a thought for we who are not as familiar as you are, as to the EXACT location to post ...eh? WE DO OUR BEST GUYS!

And that's why I said something - not to be critical but to be helpful. There are people who might help, but only play the American side and never read this forum.

Here's what you can do. Reach your designated patrol area and park your boat right on the star on the map. Now speed up TC until you complete the objective should be around 3-4days of sitting there. Then you are free to patrol where ever you want, there's no need to phone home for another objective.
