Great mod

Wait till you hit some of the Atlantic convoys. Even in an IX you'll be hard pressed to put all your torpedos to use.

I like GWX, but OM is definitely good too.

Now the stadimeter is gone from the obs periscope, how to determine range with the obs periscope?

Yes that is a problem with "hitmans" changes. If you have to have it you can go back to patch5A

The observation periscope didn't have any stadimeter historically. It just had a reticle, which is currently missing in the game. But I will add one soon.

For starters, only the reticle. Adding the distance chart is a problem because when the game rescales the background to fit different resolutios it will cut it on the edge. I can make the table available for printing, however.

Exelent!
Printable table would be great.
Will the lines be visible during night (green)? Maybe you could add a yellowish filter in the scope too.
And the most importend question: WHEN?

Best regards

The night visible lines should be easy, using the same trick as karamazov. No to yellowish filter, real periscopes had a orange one, but it could be enabled/disabled, and unless I manage to do the same it won't come into the game.

Printable range table: I'll provide one as soon as I find out what the angular angle in the obs scope is, and if it needs corrections.

When: When it's ready Don't hold your breath, though, I'm taking now some rest and my activity in naval sim modding will be low for some time.

Is there no longer a stadimeter for use on teh surface now that the notepad has been replaced? I can still guesstimate range pretty well using just the markings on the TBT view but was unsure if I had messed something up with the new patch install. Can always extend the scope just enough to use it, but I don't like extending it on the surface and making myself easier to spot.

Well i have reviewed the information and have decided that i will not be ussing the enviromental add on package, i have no desire to have to get a PhD in Mathematics to run the attack periscope with all that detail. It is no longer an enjoyable experience but way to much hard work. Sorry but it wont work for some of us. I will use the ROW sound improvments and the English/german sound set up by itself and get most of the improvments without the aggrivation. I wish you had allowed for us to NOT use this or allowed us to use the 5A patch, but you have removed it. thanks for the hard work on all of this, and i will proceed as is possible.

Default OMEGU v300 Patch 7

All patches are roll-ups

Install in port

Add more fixes by Sammi79 i.e.

Dial fixes : -

fixed Bridge dials on types : IIC,IID,VIIA,VIIB,VIIC,VIIC-41,VIIC-UFlak,VIID,IX,IXB,IXC,IXC-40,IXD2,XXI

fixed minute hand on clock in sonar station on all type VIIs and all type IXs

Cameras.dat changes :-

fixed the 'Radar View/AScope View' on all Uboats so they function like the 'Hydrophone View'

Added MechShocksPendulum camera behaviour to Hydrophone & Radar Station Views to give motion FX like in the command room.

Extended the rotation range of the Hydrophone View X-axis and cut the X&Y-axis rotation speed, Radar Views have identical limits.

I ended up using freecam with 0 movement values for the radar positions, for some reason it was the only way I could retain control of the rotational axis. Not being able to move the radar view may not be popular, the wheel is harder to see than the dial in the hydrophone view so, see what you think. It is easy to adjust the viewpoint position if you think it could be better placed.

Three things need explanation:

- if I click on "Weapons and Sensors" bookmark this page does not show-up at least on German and American subs (RSRDC+OM+OMEGU installed).

- Do those two L1/L2 "harder escort" optional mods improve also Japanese escort or Allied only?
