Default question about mission editor

Hello all

I've been dabbling with the mission editor for a while now and I have some questions for the ones with experience within this field.

Is it possible to make an encounter between 2 western nations? For example a British sub against an American FFG? I've tried setting up a simple scenario with only myself in a US FFG and 1 western sub, but it always ends with the western sub being showed as friendly even sharing link data with me.

How can I make a scenario totally dynamic? I mean without any scripted units at all, subs that suddenly appear unexpectedly in different positions and so on

Did you try setting the FFG and other Western sub to different sides in the object editor ie Side0, Side1 and then setting the RoE of both sides to War Time?
