No the same harbours are used multiple times so more than 37

I was beginning to think that my system may be at fault. The graphics card is Radeon 9550 AGP (0x4153). I downloaded the latest compatible ATI drive but no joy. Uninstall everything
Reinstall SHIII from the DVD and start the game
It will say bottom right corner what version it is
1.0 or 1.4

If its 1.4 then you dont need the Ubi patch as already added
Install GWX straight on top of your DVD install if thats the case

Yeah, it's deffo 1.4.

I've uninstalled it umpteen times and have even put it onto another drive but it just won't work.

There has been some slight progress, however: now I get the howling wolf and GWX loads with extension 1.3 clearly visible bottom right; after it's loaded I get the black screen with the big, golden arrowhead SHIII cursor and I wait for the message in German "It was not long ago..."; when I move the cursor, however, it leaves a multiple cursor trail. I then switch the thing off because it's clearly not loaded correctly.

Or is it my graphics card?

Yet a few days ago it loaded perfectly - once.

512MB RAM

DirectX 9.0c

Video Processor Radeon 9550 AGP (0x4153)

Memory Size 128MB

Well 512mb ram is a little low but you should be able to play ok
Try upping the pagefile memory
And maybe try lower the particles in options after first load

Also make sure all other programs not needed are stopped

But how do you up pagefile memory?

You see, my Windows XP is a Russian version. Is pagefile memory what they call "virtual memory" in Russian and you can choose a maximum and minimum? I don't know what the terms are in English.

I also got this info when it refused to accept my SHIII:

The GWX exe is 781.87 KB in size

You problem in small Video - 128 M only, but for GWX need 256 M minimum. As I know it's data it problem. If you need more accurancy data - write in russian in Sukhoi forum, so my english is not good.
