Postshading.
For the bottom of the hull, and lower saddle tanks i made the mix of XF-18, and smoke.
Gradualy i added the smoke, and finally black for the verry bottom.

Man I swear, with this detail, it must be real size!! you must have really chopped a lot of trees to make those giant matches though...

I wonder what's the crush dept on this one

Thanks guys!

The whole conning tower was sealed with Extracrylics flat varnish to protect the decals, and to provide flat surface for filters.
First i tried to lighten, and fade the black surfaces using new MIG filter P 404.

there is no appropriate emoticon for my eyes falling out of my head and my jaw hitting the floor!
I finished my Growler (USS Growler) a few days ago and i feel horrendously outdone
no jab at you siara, love the work, i bet you i can do just as good as you if i had an airbrush

OK- first i have applied few more filters, P240 (Blue) for the whole CT, and lighter paint on the hull, and P242 (Tan) for discoloured rusted areas- under the hatches, handrails and so on.
Gloss varnish sealed it ready for oil paints.


I also cleaned the paint from GHG sensors.
