No you are incorrect. "Things" = material objects, Translation? Words do not get "lost" but misunderstood when spoken, written, typed, etc within diffrent locus, to wit - area, nation, country. Also the use of the words by the individual, old style past, modern present day, proper, slang, etc. Yes these can be lost when written/typed ie lost manuscript, paper, disc, but cannot be lost in translation, just misunderstood like this post.

I think he has no notion of what things are, maybe a new dictionary can go on the list for Santa to bring him

Hmmm... yes a new dictionary, that would be good. Notion no, understanding yes, I could start a thread explaining about santa, he does not exsist, you clearly are a clever man again.

Thank you. At least you have composure, these tedious jibes from the man of tribes, stir nothing.

Huh? Oh, sorry, I think I took the wrong door, this seems to be GT. Funny, I remember being here when it was not GT. Huh? Well, that's Subsim for you, I guess. Nevermind.

While you are technically correct, a quick glance at any decent dictionary will tell you that "thing" is also accepted as a term for items indefinable or spiritual, so are not limited to physical objects. A good thesaurus will show that there are a great many synonyms for "thing".

Second, "lost in translation" is a common phrase, and considered acceptable usage, so your objection is over the technical detail and not the true use of the words involved.

Interesting weekend. The competition was a blast and we had good time, even if we ''lost'' a pacient

Now waiting for thursday, the red party in Ljubljana for all us blood donors and a Flogging Molly concert afterwards
