Thanks for the tip off. I'll be watching it on SBS On Demand.
SBS says it was screened in late Nov. but I don't remember it being advertised. From all reports this is a great 8 part series. Greetings from Sodom and Gommorah ( Kings X ). Weather here 28C, breezy, and choppy seas.

I haven't seen it advertised in the US yet. I will definitely watch it when I can.

Just saw the first 2 episodes of Season 1 of "Das Boot". SBS On Demand is only streaming it in Australia. Your respective countries soon?????
It's not bad. It's in German, French, and English. So far the storyline is mainly involving the Germans in Occupied France, the French civilians, and some US destroyers. English subtitles where appropriate. There's a lot of psychological tension. And as it's still only episode 2, a lot of character development still going on. "War is Hell" seems to be the theme, both at the frontline and back on shore for all involved. There's tension between the Boat's officers - Martinets and Career sailors. Tension between the enlisted men - bullies and innocents. On shore there's hints of treason, lots of corruption, espionage, and the messes people get themselves into trying to help out friends. I'm hooked.
