As long there are features in the manual that do not work in the game, it is not finished.
I have purchased all 4 SH games... UBI: Release another patch or release the source code and let the modders do it. |

The very poor documentation is just another sign of the rushed release. |

Please Finish the Product
Ubisoft, I fully endorse this patch request, even though I have yet to purchase SH4. I've been a great fan of the whole Silent Hunter series, starting with SH1 Commanders Edition, going on to the well modded SH2 Pacific Aces and now with the excellent SH3 Grey Wolfes Expansion.
I am really drawn to the War in the Pacific, but the general concensus of SH4 in its current state makes me hesitate to make the purchase. I wonder how many potential customers you have out there in the Sub Sim community that are just waiting for you to finish the product? My guess is that you will see dramatic increases in SH4 sales if you follow through and fix the remaining issues. In addition, you will garner considerable credibility with our community, which should position you nicely for SH5 and related future projects. EmeAzul |

A no brainer
I personally won't buy this game until it becomes more refined, and approved by sage's such as Uncle Neil.

I agree a thousand percent with everything Neal has stated.
Men of Ubisoft, remember your oath! Make SHIV the game it was meant to be!

Consider this another vote for a 1.3 patch.

i havent purchased SH4 yet although i was on the verge of buyin it just b4 the 2nd patch came out but after reading about all the things that still arent fixed i changed my mind. pretty shocked to see neal makin a public post like this as i just assumed SH4 would receive the same patching that SH3 did. surely UBI wont leave SH4 in its current state
cmon UBI, develop this game into the classic it deserves to be |

Ubisoft at least finish what you started or give us the SDK and let the Modders finish it. It would be nice if they would at least tell us what is happening.

The Game needs to patched until it is functioning properly and as advertised.
The idea that software companies have that its ok to abandon a product before it's complete is, to me at least, nonsense and in anycase illegal in the Uk where we have very strict laws on advertising and selling. Is it as advertised? Fit for purpose? Have we been misled? Its not the devs fault, but the publishers..... Sooo any rich peeps out there want to sue them? Cheers Garion |

I agree
Without the modding community, this game is almost unplayable in its 1.2 state. Bring on 1.3. (Oh, and FIX things in this patch FCOL!!!!)
