Mini Subsim Meet
This past weekend Gary(GT182) and I had our own Subsim meet. It did not involve one naval vessel however we did enjoy the AMC Dover AFB Museum where the show was held.
My 60 under a C-5A Cargo Transport. This aircraft is huge. Gary GTO under the C-5A. Nice car with the best ghost flames I have seen. Very unique in design and done very well. Gary said he may repaint the car to the original color. I vote no but I do not get a vote. We spent the day touring the museum and simply talking about life as we enjoyed the shade under the nose of a C-5A. I will post other pics later.

Yeah it was a great day but hot if you weren't in the shade. Especially great to meet up with Chris (AVGWarhawk) and have our own SubSim meeting. The rest of you ... eat your hearts out. LOL
It's too bad Unca Neal wasn't up here with his "Big Rig", and could have met us at the show. Maybe some other time someday. BTW, Chris did get a photo of us... if he'll post it. LOL Cheers guys.

Selfies:
Did not think to take pictures of us two in front of our cars. Our feet will have to do this time around. I'm a flip flop guy as of late. Not sure why other than keeps me cooler on hot days. Gary apparently a slip on shoe type person.

Chris, they're the most comfortable slip-ons I've even had. Clarks is the brand and from The London Coat Factory store..... for the low cost of 19.99. Air cushioned soles too.
And..... they look better than the rest of me. LOL

What's in a name?
Quote:
Luv the B-17 Sleepy Time Gal is the lead ship in this photo> however the one used in the 1997 stamp> was named "Patches" at the time. Records show that it had three different names during its active duty tour ("Flak Magnet", "Patches" and "Trudie's Terror"). It is the 'starboard lead' aircraft (uppermost left) in the photo. http://www.381st.org/Unit-History/Stories/Authors-M-W/Stamp
