Default Smart protesters, manipulating the public opinion

first of all, the stuff people rage about:

OMG!!!111!!! POLICE BRUTALITY!!!!!!

you see it a lot on liberally inclined forums, how this is "police brutality" "no freedom" etc

well the other side of the story:
Quote:
Everyone seems to think that the group dancing at the Jefferson Memorial are innocent. That is a misconception. See, the group that was there is known as "Code Pink". This group has a history of causing problems:

Sources:

http://bermudaradical.wordpress.com/2009...perialism/

http://www.noquarterusa.net/blog/2009/11...more-36195

Code Pink just likes to stir up trouble and blame other people for their bating.

Explanation:

In Washington D.C., there are certain areas in the national parks you are not allowed to demonstrate in. Under the Jefferson Memorial is one of those places. Because Code Pink was demonstrating, or protesting, using dance, they were breaking the law. They didn't even have a permit. This same thing happened in 2008 when a flash mob dance group tried dancing there. That group was arrested.

Now, regarding the way the park police handled that situation. The police could have handled there arrests a bit more gently. But then again, the Code Pink protestors were resisting arrest. They deserved the treatment they were dealt. There is no way you can argue this any other way. This is not a police state. In no way were the Code Pink protestors arrested for hugging, dancing, or kissing. They were arrested for illegally protesting without a permit in an area where permits are not even dealt out.
well I'm not saying this opinion is 100% right either

my point is, the protesters are getting smarting and smarter. they no longer are the "protesters", instead they portray themselves as "victims of police brutality"

I agree with your opinion fully this is a very common tactic these days many people will take what they see at face value and not think to find out both sides of the story which is an easy way to be fooled.Obviously they target those who already lean a certain way to attract them. The bright side is that everyone can give it thumbs down. I like the guy with classes after the cop slams him he looks like he did not expect that yet he deserved it he refused to move looks like he was trying the "robot".There are other ways they could have gotten their message out though they seem very confused from what those links say.

The tool being carted off shouting, "Police State" clearly has no clue what he's talking about.

Let him get intercranially administered nine ounces of lead for resisting, while his friends' video cameras are destroyed... perhaps at the same time his friends are.. yeah, then you've got a police state.

What I see here is a bunch of spoiled little white-bred white bread playing "Let's be Che for a Day!" and looking like a bunch of self-serving, whinging little brats while they're at it.

I feel bad for the Park Police Sergeant... when he bumps into the two dancing behind him, you can see the look of his face that's saying, "Oh, FFS, really?"

He warned them, they got arrested. Ignorance of the law is no excuse; flouting the law after being warned by LEO to cease is just stupid. When you're actions - intended to call attention to freedom of speech issues - result in the closing of the Memorial while your ignorant posteriors are being carted off... yeah, that's a great way to get the people there who wanted to enter the memorial to stand by you.

Utter tools.

Wow, really amazing news! Really, protestors who try to influence the public opinion? Who would have thought so? And they exaggerate how they are treated? Really a whole new dimension, never happened before!

I can't believe this coming from the same poster who chews Pallywood propaganda without questioning, posts said propaganda here and calls this here manipulation

That being said Code Pink can suck my hairy .... forearm

Only governments have the resources and manpower to manipulate public opinion effectively. Dictatorial regimes do it all the time and more efficiently as they control virtually every media. What is engrossing in many of long standing dictatorial regimes, the aim is not only to fool the population and thus control their behavior but also their attitude as well as thoughts and feelings. Total control is the subduing of the population mind not just their behavior. It is as a result to the draconian belief that mankind is no more than an animal thus could be and should be tamed for the benefit of the ruler or alpha kind(since people who embrace this belief also believe themselves nothing more than animal).

Simple example would be to deliver violence whether physical or psychological to any person deemed wearing a cocky facial expression.

The idea may sound silly but it happens and practiced simply because while man's wits and wisdom have their limits his stupidity is boundless and because mankind is above all, an irrational being, especially without control and check and balances. When a man is being sensible and rational it is only because he is forced to being so or has learned the wisdom of common sense.

The very idea why mutual destruction assurance has worked.
