Text format is a bit off, but the interview about how Facebook and US politics collude and that probably it is European legislation needing to come to the rescue, is worth it it to read. The comparison with the regulatory effect of Californian legislation on global car technology is striking.

And now we have John Bolton back. Like a bad penny. At least he is just an advisor with no actual direct authority. I thought we had heard the last of him.

He fits right in since he speaks before thinking too.

I hope vinnea is not sick or something ... He'll come back if Muleler finds something on Trump.

It will be a year this May that he was appointed ... Robert Mueller was appointed as special counsel in the Department of Justice's Russia investigation on May 17, 2017

I think this whole investigation is taking too long to wind up white washing the Russian connection ... what Trump calls no collusion?

Definition of collusion
: secret agreement or cooperation especially for an illegal or deceitful purpose acting in collusion with the enemy

I think he is going to nail President Trump to the wall

no, will never happen, unless some brand new element comes out that we don't know about.

-any case of obstruction of justice is legally very iffy at best. Even if Mueller wanted to try, it would be litigated in court until Trump was already retired in 2021 or 2025.

- no evidence of any illegal and I stress the word "illegal" collusion with Russia has emerged. Again, even if Mueller wanted to charge Trump with something, unless it was a clear case of criminal actions/impeachable offence, it would be litigated in court until Trump was already retired in 2021 or 2025.

as much as Democrats and anti-Trumpers have wet dreams of Trump being taken out of the Oval Office in handcuffs, the reality is that he will be running for re-election in 2020 and he actually has a good chance to be re-elected.

I'm not an anti-Trumper or a democrat ... I support the GOP wholeheartedly, but with that said ... I still think there are shadows in his campaign to run again for the POTUS. Women for one, but that will probably be off set by men saying "Hey, that's what men do".

It may even be a financial connection to Russia that does Trump in instead of the 2016 Russian interference in the election, which is now being overshadowed by his own digital campaign manager Brad Parscale who used Facebook for anti-Hillary ads also just like Russian trolls. Probably no connection, but it is under investigation. Brad has been named campaign manger for the 2020 run for POTUS and Trump has already signaled his intent to run.

THE FORMER DIGITAL director of President Trump’s 2016 campaign, Brad Parscale, has been named campaign manager for the 2020 re-election campaign.

A political novice prior to the 2016 race, Parscale oversaw the campaign’s digital operations from the San Antonio offices of his web design and strategy firm Giles-Parscale.

Trump confirms he will run again in 2020

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-campaign.html

Quote:
Brad Parscale served as Trump's digital director for the 2016 campaign and will be named campaign manager for 2020
He previously ran web sites for the Trump Organization
Oversaw online ads, social media, and TV purchases
He was among senior aides to retweet Russian bots in the final weeks of the campaign

You could be right ... I've been known to be wrong before with Obama and the others running against him.

Those already counting out President Trump by counting on upcoming Republican midterm losses should reconsider. Each of the previous three presidents has taken office with his party fully controlling Congress, only to leave office — after winning re-election — with the opposition fully controlling it.

so, I have been away from here for a long time, but this thread seems to be much more civilized and rational than before, which is a good thing.

Default Trump wants US military to pay for his wall

https://www.nationalreview.com/news/...-for-his-wall/

Quote:
After initially telling voters that Mexico would pay for a wall on the southern border, President Donald Trump is now considering calling on the military to provide the funding.
Trump floated the idea to advisers last week, before telling House speaker Paul Ryan Wednesday that funding for the wall should come out of the $700 billion provided for the military in the omnibus bill passed last week, according to the Washington Post.
The spending bill provides $1.6 billion for roughly 30 miles of additional border fencing — far short of the $25 billion Trump hoped to secure to build the “big, beautiful” wall he repeatedly promised voters — and places stringent limits on how the money can be spent.
Pentagon and White House officials told the Post that Trump’s idea is unlikely to come to fruition, as it would require approval from an unsympathetic Congress.
Democratic leadership denigrated Trump’s efforts to keep the wall alive in response to the Post‘s report.
“First Mexico was supposed to pay for it, then U.S. taxpayers, and now our men and women in uniform? This would be a blatant misuse of military funds and tied up in court for years. Secretary Mattis ought not bother and instead use the money to help our troops, rather than advance the president’s political fantasies,” Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) said in a statement.
Trump, who reluctantly signed the spending bill after calling it a “ridiculous situation,” has reportedly grown more frustrated as reliable defenders of his administration have taken to cable news to accuse him of abandoning his base.

Trump hinted at funding the wall with Pentagon money in a Sunday tweet, writing “building a great Border Wall, with drugs (poison) and enemy combatants pouring into our Country, is all about National Defense. Build WALL through M!”
The White House did not respond to a request for comment.
By the way, $1.6 billion dollars for 30 miles comes out to just over $10,000 per foot. That is some expensive fencing.

By Charles Hurt - The Washington Times - Sunday, March 25, 2018
ANALYSIS/OPINION:

First they tried to beat him at the polls. They lost miserably.

Then they unleashed America’s most powerful and penetrating espionage apparatus against him at the height of the presidential campaign. And got caught red-handed.

Once he assumed the White House, they tried beating him with a sprawling federal investigation into “Russia collusion” — only to discover that they themselves were the only ones colluding with the Kremlin to tilt the 2016 election.

Frustrated, exhausted and completely out of ideas, the Grand Cyclops of the Washington Swamp has finally resorted to the only thing that has resulted in a presidential impeachment since Reconstruction: a raunchy sex scandal.

So they dredge up old stories from President Trump’s colorful past as a tabloid titan, real-estate showman and reality-TV star. Old stories — stories that keep evolving and remain unverified — about alleged affairs from long before he ever got into politics.

Over at CNN — the old Communist News Network, turned Clinton News Network, turned Collapsing News Network — former “journalists” have gone full-bore to repaint these old stories as shiny and new, and they are trotting them out for the real, real REAL final kill-shot.

Porn “star” Stormy Daniels was on “60 Minutes” this weekend. For real. Not making this up.

Hovering at the very front of the crowd lurking outside the peep-show curtain is none other than CNN’s Anderson Cooper, a longtime veteran of the racy old Times Square scene.

Earlier this week, it was a Playboy model he interviewed — but only for the stories. Seriously.

Next up: Stormy Daniels, famous for multitasking and handling several men at once on screen. Mr. Cooper will prove hardly a match for this gal. This important interview comes after Stormy Daniels posed for pictures, apparently submitting to a lie detector test.

It was unclear in the picture whether she really did hook up with an actual polygraph machine or if it was a black snake strangling a package of Easter peeps.

Governments do like to spend money, California's high speed rail is projected to come in at about 18,143.00 a linear foot. ( 77 billion dollars/ 800 miles).

Agent 45 appears to have some problems finding lawyers willing to work for him. Shocking!

An unheard-of problem: The President can't find a lawyer

Quote:
Five large law firms are passing on the opportunity to represent the President after a shakeup last week on his private defense team and as he anticipates giving possible testimony to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

Well-known Washington lawyers cited several reasons for declining the President in recent weeks, according to multiple sources familiar with their decisions. Among them, Trump appears to be a difficult client and has rebuked some of his lawyers' advice. He's perceived as so politically unpopular he may damage reputations rather than boost them. Lawyers at large firms fear backlash from their corporate clients if they were to represent the President. And many want to steer clear of conflicts of interest that could complicate their other obligations.

I guess there are some things that even a lawyer won't do.
