Default Time Compression

Searched this amazing forum, but I can't find a solution to it. My time compression is stuck at x32. I have reinstalled both UPlay and SH5. Oldtimer of CCleaner, so that's been used as well. I tried to delete main.cfg file in the documents folder, so this is the newly created one:

Code:
[TIME COMPRESSION]
; The first value is the default one, the second value is used when 'travel mode' is activated.
; The two values should be separated by a comma.
; If only one value is specified, that value is used for both default and travel mode.
TimeStop=0
RealTime=1
LandProximity=8,8192
CriticalDamage=1,1024
CrewEfficiency=128
AirEnemyDetected=1,8
SoundEffects=2
CharacterAnim=32
FriendDetected=32,8192
EnemyDetected=8,64
RadioReport=32,8192
Particles=32
PrayState=8,32
HunterState=8,32
3DRender=32
Maximum=8192
Right now it's just the vanilla SH5, I will probably not use it much with TWoS but it would be great to know what has gone wrong. I know it's bugged out of ...

So any ideas are welcome.

EDIT: Apologizes for posting in the wrong section, I was a bit too fast.

Just a guess....but if you are in visual contact with another unit you might be limited to 32.

Based on the list:

Friendly detected without travel mode = 32.

I think the WOS mode has it at 64 max for any unit with in visual range. So, again, this could be just because you are close to another unit.

Your TC as you can see is being controlled by the figure 32.
One option is to put a comma after the first figure for example 32,128.
You can then use travel mode which is now becomes active.

I hear you, and I have tested all that. I'm stuck at max 32 no matter.

Like I said this is so far a new fresh Vanilla Install and still stuck at 32, even in the Tutorial Mission.

I uninstalled with Revo, cleaned everything. What annoys me, and what I think might be the issue. Even though UPlay is set to Offline Mode, Admin, and no Cloud Sync it still says it's synchronizing my saves. Even with Internet Offline it somehow syncs the files. Going to do a full system clean, and try from there.

But if you go in nav-map... Again 32x Max?

As default (without you changing anything), in TWoS TC is limited to 64 as long as you see any nearby ship, once it disappears on your map you should be able to increase over that up to 512 (higher is not recommended).

In vanilla game, I don't know, I think TC is also limited if ships are visible nearby.

Have you run the *TDW Generic Patcher* before playing stock 1.2.0 or installing TWoS ? If not you may get this and other game bugs.

I have not run TDW. I uninstalled SH5 and UPlay with Revo Unistaller, did a CCleaner, rebooted. Installed SH5 again, turned into Offline. No modifications. Still stuck on 32 TC.

Solved!!

A friend made a ISO file from an older version and I installed that, everything seems to work perfect. But it's annoying to have via UPlay and not being able to use that... Ubisoft...

Hi MGB
Just watched the video.
It's not a malfunction its just how the game works whether modded or stock.
The game will allow higher TC than 32 in the navigation map where you can adjust the TC to the maximum you set in the Time Compression file.

If you check my reply a bit further up, I tried it on the Nav Map as well and I was still stuck at 32.

I'm currently playing with non-Steam SH5 1.2.0 + TWoS. No trace of this bug, or any other bug btw.
If I unload TWoS from JSGME I could play the stock game at its best state which is v.1.2.0 + TDW Generic Patcher enabled.
I don't know about the Steam version (and I don't regret), which version of SH5 is the Steam game? If its' below 1.2.0 then it should be patched urgently before signaling any bugs.
You can see which version you have in the main menu, I think. If it's below 1.2.0 be prepared to have a lot of trouble with the game, not just TC...

It's not Steam, it's Uplay Digital download. But since I installed it from a CD instead of Digital download everything's work fine. My only guess is that Uplay down loader somehow tried to restore files, even though it was in Offline mode.

I'm now running 1.2.0 + TWoS, and it works fine.
