Default SH4 Won't Run in Windows 7

For all you guys that have Windows 7 and SH4 "won't run", I recently experienced this problem but have resolved it. I had installed the game on my Windows 7 machine when I upgraded from VISTA where it had been running fine. It ran great for about 4 months and suddenly stopped working last month. Tore my hair out uninstalling and reinstalling per every piece of advice I could find on the Internet. Finally stumbled across an answer that fixed the problem. The fix was posted by ATR-42. I recently upgraded screen resolution for text from 125% to 150%. That appears to be the problem. Any DPI setting over 125 % causes the program to run (you can see it listed in Task Manager), but it won't be displayed on the screen. Shifting back to 125% fixed the problem. Again, thanks ATR-42. You have restored my sanity.

Thanks to you, glenmyers and ATR-42 for this information.

This will certainly help Win 7 users.
