could you release a first version maybe?
:hmm::hmm::hmm:

p.s. what about the idea of simply putting the existing
crew from the crew-rotation in the room?

Use a TGA if need be.
Only the original or first model uses the UV mapping.
All following exports, when imported, will drop the UV information anyway.
Piece of cake!!

Hello my friend.
We must for 2Animationen make,
one for the sailor and one for the book,

where the sheets move 10 sheets also 150 distributed.

I would tomorrow send you the entire model with the animation,
and then you roughened over the weekend experiment.
Because that is for me still future integrates.
I have no so matsh experiants with you !!

If you with it agree??? :hmm:

That integrate is still rather heavy for me
because I not white like the structure is developed.

But, vickers03 and Skwasjer are professionals,

and if it does not fold at all,
then I hope that the professionals us help.

I appreciate

hi tomi,

very nice work! two things: first, i think uboat men wouldnt find the silence to read a book. and if so, they need much more time to read one page! i think, it would be much more realistic you give him a playboy or something like that. does everyone know they had these magacines in ww2? becausi in a playboy, nobody reads the articles, everybody looks to the pictures...

Haha, I would dispute that. I believe playboy-type material would have been 'verboten' on U-boats (especially if they were run by someone like Wolfgang Lüth). Conversely, U-boats usually kept a little library of books and there would be plenty of time to read. Submarines aren't party-houses and they are actually rather quiet - a lot of the men off watch would be obviously sleeping, and if it's quiet enough to sleep, it's quiet enough to read! And U-boat sailors were hand-picked and, I expect, not the dumbest of the bunch and therefore probably all very much literate men.

So I think a sailor reading a book is just the thing to have! Great job Tomi - although I think he looks kind of scary in that last picture :rotfl:

Hi, the book is perfect as it is... In "Das Boot" (The novel) L.G. Buchheim describes how Uboatmen spent their free time reading the books that were on board...

The book has a nice texture, looking like it was read by quite a few sailors already... So, this reading man is a great addition to the torpedo-room

Hey tomi.

You may want to slow his flipping down. He looks like a five yearold flipping through a picture book. Other than that, veary good.
