Just reading up on the interest rate rise announced by the Bank Of England.

Only a quarter % but a step in the right direction.

Ear plugs in tonight and just to add if you got money to burn on fireworks if I was in power you would be paying higher taxes.

The 'pants' arrived: it was a pair of Lawrence's big soft flannel pyjama shorts with pictures of skulls all over... nice. At least they were clean.

I just had to withhold a treat from his normal routine of being spoiled rotten, because he's been naughty again. I said to him a few minutes ago that I don't like having to punish him... that it doesn't mean I don't love him... but if he's naughty then I have to. "You do understand that, don't you?"... "Yes", he said. I looked at Moira and said he doesn't really... he's just saying that.

Tonight will see the arrival of my new i7 Intel computer system so hopefully my tech friend will be able to port everything over from my current system exactly as I want it.

Thaaaaats Nothing! Walking from my house to town and back is a 4-mile round trip, up hill for the first half!

My junction is two miles and then another two miles to the store which = 4 miles one way and 8 miles round trip.

I feel faint if I walk that far, in fact I did one time. I hope I never have to do that again
