I consider the Yak-9T quite a good plane though

I forgot about the P 38, thats my favorite american plane. Lots of ammo. Speed, and two motors just incase one goes out/shot out.

Yeah, but have you tried using a P-51? That thing has a worse stalling problem
EDIT: Oh, wait, yes you did...

I have messed around with the P 51, they do have a stalling issue, cant even do hard turns without stalling.

if you quickly pull back the stick when flying an allied aircraft..you stall
unlike in some of the german planes so the only plane i fly when im on the allied side is the P-47D good B&Z plane |

Yes the P 47 and the P 38 are both good planes. Id also have to say that the Seafire is a good plane.

I'll join the crowd here: P-51, P-47 and FW-190 are excellent boom and zoom aircraft because they have an excellent high speed maneuverability, especially elevator authority. In the Mustang you can actually easily rip your wings off, not so easy in any other aircraft. All 109s and the P-38J(you can use maneuvering flaps in the -L and -L-Late) simply lock up when going fast, the 109 just almost and the -38 really completely
Against Jap planes I really like the Fork Tailed Devil, but it's not that good against the faster and more maneuverable Luftwaffles. |

I've taken a bit of a liking to the Yak 3.
When i got my new joystick up and running, I tried a 109F4 but I simply can't get the hang of it whenever I fly at a normal difficulty or higher. I tend to find myself in a flat spin more often than not. I'm limited to single engines for now, I can't be bothered to bind keys for alternating engines because I'll simply forget them anyway. Hawker Hurricanes are an enjoyable flight, and theres enough firepower in them to put a dent into other aircraft, but i again find a bit of a stall problem. The Yak i've started flying in a new campaign, with the free french fighting on the eastern front. good for taking down the 109s if I can get on their tail, but against HE111s the lack of firepower hurts - only 1mg and 1 cannon.. its not much. At least I can handle him well! |

As for multiple engines, you only need to select engine one or two when you start up(and only if you have "separate engine start" checked in difficulty options), or when you have problems with the other engine and have to shut it down and feather the prop. My usual P-38 flight is like this: start engines separately -> select all engines -> fly and forget about them. |

I just noticed that my joystick (rudder Z axis) is off center (just a little to the right) during my flight with Raptor1 and HunterICX. Anyone know how to fix this. (thanks sorry for going off topic.
