Default Pampanito helm bar install help

Hey guys,

Sorry to bother y'all with this elementary problem, but I downloaded the Pampanito helm bar mod from OAKsHudGauges and followed the manual install notes and have it in the proper folder but when I open the game the helm bar is still the stock TMO helm bar. I tried using JSGME but still nothing. Could someone please help me figure this out?? Does it only work with a baleo class submarine?? Could someone maybe elaborate on the manual install a little more?? I know this is simple stuff but if someone wouldn't mind reaching out I would greatly appreciate it

This would require finding the same graphic files in the TMO mod and making a small mod to install on top of TMO to replace the TMO HUD graphics, and quite possibly their names, sizes & positions too. This would require editing the menu_1024_768.ini file.

I wish it could be as simple as just swapping the graphics but there is more to it.

I like Oakgrooves HUD Gauges too and use them on my heavily modded install but I don't use TMO. The HUD gauges used in TMO needed editing of the menu_1024_768.ini file that would need to be reverse engineered and parts changed back - undone by this (proposed) little mod.

This isn't an impossible task, it just needs some detective work and some familiarity of the files and what they do.

Happy Hunting!

Curiosity killed the cat - IF I can find some time in-between my daily rituals : ) I will make a TMO 2.5 install and see what Ducimus did, and try to figure out how he did it.... might take a while.

No promises but you and I can't be the only ones who like Oakgrooves HUD gauges.

Happy Hunting!

I tried, or looked, and of course everything is tied together - especially because of the changes in the awards... many other things too.

The discussion at the time was to do away with the Congressional Medal Of Honor and another decoration (Navy Cross or DSM) and have the Navy Commendation Medal and Asiatic Pacific Campaign medals instead.

TMO's CrewSystemsManagement.dds file happens to have these graphics now and I don't have Photoshop skills. Furthermore a lot of other things are changed to get the transparent red glow of Trigger Maru.

Quite a bit of editing of the menu_1024_768.ini file would be needed among other things.

Sorry.
