Maybe, but I've F12'ed on that eastern side and have yet to find a mine there. However, I did notice some serious shallows in that area. Looked like there was less than a foot of water in random places, there.

I just added minefield, because I've already had this discussion and the replies I got insist that there are mines there.... Although personally, I still think it's because of the depth, due to the terrain mod change of Heloland, in GWX

Default Turn off controls

I was asking in the 'search for mod' discussion if there was a mod or keypress to turn off the dials and controls so you can screen capture the full screen.

SquareSteelBar and Jimbuna said this can be done by selecting

NumLock

followed by DEL to toggle the dials off and on.

I find it bazaar these things are not documented in the manual - or is it my failing eyesight?

Default Blurry Screen

I have been occasionally hitting a key combination that makes the above water images go blurry. Thanks to the above post I now know by pressing Shift+Pagedown I can restore sharpness without having to restart the game!

(I'm using a ATI HD 5870 graphics card)

Thanks

(Pointless functionality I think!)

Are you pressing the correct key? The Delete key will just lower your observation scope. The one you want is the Del /. key on the numberpad - the bottom right of your keyboard, most likely between 0 and Enter

By the way, does anybody know what is the "official" name of this command and the associated hotkeys syntax as it could be inserted in the commands_en.cfg file?

Sinking is counter productive!

Most of you will all ready know this but enter launchs torpedeos and the + is right above it so watch out when speeding up time.

If you find this happening in the game, try hitting the NumLock key once and then hit Del again - the basic keyboard "functions" of the numpad keys are toggled back and forth by the NumLock key.

Default repair destroyed engines

I remember a thread that explained how to go into which program to repair a destroyed engine. I understood that u-boats (the VIIB) has four engines but the game only reflects two. Can someone assist me? Thanks in advance - love this game - GWX forever.

The VIIB had two diesel and two electric and all are 'reflected' in GWX.

Welcome Aboard

GWX changes this to Ctrl+Enter, yet another improvement from the team!
