Auto-dive when contact spotted?
IIRC there was a way to set through the game files the helm to initiate diving to periscope depth if a contact is detected through the bridge. Help?

This will continue through out the game or will show back on starting new patrol each time?

To Commandosolo & fifi...
Just my own thoughts on this, but... with setting set as default, to dive when coming across a destroyer... to me, would be a more preferable decision to make. Going toe to toe, surfaced with a destroyer, is a death sentence. Depending on positioning, after diving, it would be more.. prudent, to attack with a torp, if the situation is in your favor for it or can get repositioned in a relatively short time. If not feasible, then next prudent course of action, would be survive to fight another day. Again, these are just my own thoughts on that... each sub skipper, has their own tactics, which is what makes it interesting to see, when they report on what happened after actions... Dealing with air patrols, is of course, another matter, that depends on the sub skippers discretion, as well.... Smooth sailing, may the winds be at your back & the targets plentiful... helm, 3rd star to the right & straight on til morn...
