Your screenshots look like paintings, beautiful shots, Otto. Very impressive.

You're right, you can see through them in game, it shouldn't be like that though.

The Americans call them 'limber holes'. I don't know what the Germans call them. Their purpose is to allow water to flow freely between the outer hull and the pressure hull. Since the pressure hull sits low within the framework of the outer hull you can indeed see the pressure hull through them, and from the correct angle see right through to the other side.

You seem to be right... again. Good find. After I noticed I can see through my boat I checked some photos, but it seems I didn't find the right ones. Good find indeed. Thanks.

I cheated. Way back in 1970, while I was in the navy, I got to visit an old fleet boat in Long Beach. One of the things that shocked me was the realization that I could see the water beneath my feet, right through the holes in the deck. I asked about it then.

On the other hand you're right that you shouldn't be able to see through all of them, or even most of them. There is a lot of stuff in there, including the pressure hull itself. You should see it blocking the view. If that's not there then the game is indeed missing something.

Could someone please tell me (a) How to take a picture (b) Where the pics are stored. I'm using TDW UI and no keyboard updates. I have tried using print screen, but it doesn't seem to work. My machine is an HP Pavilion Laptop I7 Intel.

Each time you press Ctrl + F11 a screenshot is made and stored with timestamp in your main game folder. You can make as many as you want (provided you have disc space).

Pressing PrintScreen only temporarily stores the image in your clipboard - unless you paste it to a graphic program andsave manually, you lose it after you press PrtScr again or just Ctrl + C.
