Default Once in a lifetime and I was robbed!

Greetings,
I've been playing SH since it first appeared as SH1 right through to SH3 with looks at SH2, 4 and 5. (i.e. Years and years). Then my dream comes true.

Last night, Friday I'm on patrol in my current career, Sep 19 '40 (at 90% realism for the first time) patrolling in the 'gut' of Gibraltar when my sonar man reports warships approaching fast from the West.
First looksee - nothing; wait look again- Wow! Task force consisting of two Nelson class BBs three CLs and a slew of DDs. Range c9000+
Start the plot -'Lord' they are coming fast; 20+kts. Frantically plotting. Estimate 23kts and one BB will pass about 1200 mtrs. ahead of me. Set torps for 13mtrs; range 1200. Barely time to think. Fire all four bow tubes and " Down 'scope and dive to 130 mtrs. Silence. Wait. Then Bang, bang, bang, bang four hits!
A sub skippers dream come true. Sonar reports nasty noises (sad music playing).

I cheat! Key F12. I've just got to see this. Yes she's down by the head and I watch her go down. Yippee!!!
I wait for a long while as the DDs make a few runs but they don't drop any DCs (which I find strange).
Eventually I come to the surface and send a status report. No mention of the BB being sunk at all. I check my log (H key) and nothing there either. I can't believe it.

Can some one explain please?

What mods are you using?
Were the weather stormy when she sank?
What colour is the sunken ship icon on your map?
Did you get an "Enemy unit destroyed!" or "She's going down!" message?

Sometimes the game gives the credit of the sinking to bad weather even if you hit the target.

It happened once to me. I fire one torpedo at ship around 10000 tonnage and confirmed hit, weather was rainy and very heavy. Then I return to previous course and I was far away, maybe around 15 km. I followed that ship with external camera all the way until it sank . But than there was no record in my log about it.

Default Sinking not credited

Greetings allievo,
In answer to your questions;
Mods installed are;
GWX 16k Atmosphere
GWX Enhanced damage
GWX Lite harbour Traffic
GWX Additional ammo
No continuous ship spotted
Officer 3D icons
Real weather fix2
Thomsens ships v3.1

Weather state was calm wind c7kts.
I don't use ship icons on my maps.
After I hit the ship it came to a standstill and sank.
I did not get the usual "she's going down" message.
I actually watched the ship sink, totally under the sea.

Yeah, it sucks but SHIII and IV have a nasty habit of giving no credit, happens when you ram sometimes too......

I say who cares! You know you hit it and in reality real Kaleuns would claim the tonnage themselves and there was no overseer there to validate it for them (hence often inflated monthly tonnage totals for the U-boat war).

You sank him, you did it, you passed the test. Some algorithm cheating you can't take that away.
