I used to be able to boast that but the garner (wife) got sick of the chore so I spent a tidy packet (admittedly) but well worth it to make said chore go away permanently.

I would gladly get a second job just to be able to afford to pay someone to do my lawn work.

You could always ask my wife but I doubt she'd be tempted

No no no Mr Squirrel, I had to fill the pool in last year after that unfortunate incident with that WPC who I thought was a stripogram, I did get to play with her walkie talkies before I was arrested though.

Just got home from another gig. We were scheduled to play at the Barbary Coast, technically a biker bar, but with great people, great food and great entertainment. A couple of years ago I went there for an Open Mic night, and they hadn't really organized anything, so I ended up playing there by myself for a couple of hours, just me and my 12-string.

Then we were helped out by a band who know our lead guitarist, and to do us a favor we opened for them. The bar owners like us and had us back to headline. A band who we've played with before opened for us, and I was surprised to find that they've improved a lot since the last time we played together. They actually put on a very good show. They also ran long, which cut into our time, so we started half-an-hour late, at 2330.

We played an hour-and-a-half straight through, and the night went quite well. They want us back again in September, and by then we hope to carry a full show by ourselves.

Now it's 0330 and I wish there was someplace open with all-night jams. I'm not done playing yet!!!

Unacconpanied BBMF Lancaster roared SSW over our house about 15 mins ago (on the Northern coast of The Wash), then turned WSW

I'm just up from a splendid day on the bay sailing-still stiff from manning all 150% of the jib...solo. Watering the yards against more high temps expected today then off to the farmers market and breakfast at IHOP with 'the boss'. Might take in a movie: Dunkirk; my wife has expressed an interest in seeing.

Yep, the Lanc, Hurricane and Red Arrows were practicing above my place of abode last night in preparing for the Sunderland Air Show.

Dunkirk is well worth a viewing, especially if you haven't read some of the ridiculous PC comments currently doing the rounds on the internet.

Classic car rallye 2017, was asked to accompany a friend in a car we both restored, the (in)famous Citroen SM with Maserati engine.

We were late for registering and got the penultimate starting number of 121, so we were just there for the fun. But got the highest award for speed and least penalty points, even beating the Ferrari GTO
Guess we really p.. a few off, but was great. Lots of great cars like Jaguar Es, a pre-war Tatra, Fiats and so on. Prettiest cars (for me) still being the TR 4 and Spitfire '4' ("Mk 1")

Lots of fun!

Pictures i inserted here were much too big, i wonder why.. ?

The Sunderland Air Show finished last night and was marred only by a few display cancellations due to low visibility last night.

I felt honoured a privileged to see the Red Arrows practicing on Friday night during which they staged a wonderful tribute to Bradley Lowery.

The pilots used their blue smoke trails to create a blue heart in the sky, in memory of the six-year-old Sunderland football fan who lost his battle with cancer earlier this month.

God Bless you little fighter.

Sorry mates, after a five year absence, I am back. Long story but life is wonderful. I will have my new rig Tuesday and will be a gray wolf and maru killer in no time. Just finished ep 2 of GoT and finishing a pint with a brown chaser.
