no, you take cards from a pile and you have to complete the challenge on it or take a drink. Since the group i was out with is composed of perverts like me things degraded to hilarity fast.

New to Subsim and computer games. Picked up SH4 in December and have been lost in the Pacific ever since. My name is Robert, originally from Los Angeles and moved to Atlanta area in Ga.

Retired from the USPS and now play bass in a rockabilly band. I have been around music all my life. I grew up listening to English wave music. I first saw the Who @ Hlywd Bowl in 1967 and got hooked.

I'm still having trouble navigating around in Subsim. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if people can contact me in here or by e-mail. Haven't figured out how to download a photo.

Any help on how to use protractor and compass to determine bearings would be a blessing! Totally lost with SH4 and it's manual. Just another Sod Pounder!

WELCOME ABOARD, Robert!

Have a look though this thread and you'll find at least one fellow bassman.

And fellow old fart. I saw The Beatles at Dodger Stadium in '66.

I like the pics, AK, but do you have to make them so big. If I have to side-scroll I get bored.

I was just givin' you grief. You make 'em as big as you like. My screen is set for 1440 x 900. Any higher and I can't read the desktop icons, even on my 28" screen.

Welcome to the chaos!

Are you playing SH4 with any mods? There are some great ones out there in the SH4 mod section. I'm in the process of re-discovering SH4. If you're new to gaming (subsim/naval gaming), SH4 was a dud when it first came out, but now it is a work of art. I really enjoy playing it. Hurray for the subsim modding community..

Buzzing the NATO AWACS base in Geilenkirchen (me in the right-hand seat).

Couple more shots from that spin.
