Could be you've found something that hundreds of hours of testing and kazillions of hours of user gameplay have overlooked

Do Kaleuns normally attack there own ships ? :hmm:

It would appear you post regularly in questioning GWX playability/parameters

I'm off to see if I can reinvent the wheel before you think that one up

Very well.

Even if the Type 36A is "unsinkable" why are you torpedoing ships that belong to your side? Its a waste of torpedoes at the very least.

In the future, you should to take a moment to think about how you word your posts. Even if you do find a problem, using adjectives like "stupid," "senseless," and "idiotic" will make you no friends here... or generate any motivation for the dev team to even look into a perceived "problem."

Looking at your post history, it seems you are far more interesting in bitching about things than anything else.

If you dislike GWX so much... then you should shut your mouth and delete it.

Off you go, griefer. I'm out of patience with you.

Have you read your above post before posting?

If you are using an insluting language at me only because I reported here an error and you think that German unsinkable destroyer isn't "stupid", "senseless" and "idiotic" thing you should shut your mouth yourself and close this needless thread and stop modding at all!

BYE!

You know what? If you think there is a problem, you can fix it yourself or eat dirt for all I care, mouthpiece.

If you want to insult this team, or the work without a thought that there are people on the other end of the wire...

Piss off.

BYEEEE!!! Don't let the hatch hit your butt, dum dum.

I don't consider eating some faulty dirt you made in this mod. It is your duty as a "Project Manager".

Farewell!

Now, feel free to keep creating your stupid training missions such as sinking the Bismarck via the deck gun, and stop bothering the Kapitän with a possible bug that nobody besides you will ever find in the whole history of SH3, man.

Ende.

Default Should I wait?

Maybe I can pull this thread in another direction.
I want to load GWX but I see the new version is "short range and closing".
Should I go ahead and load 1.3 or will 2.0 be so different that I should wait.
I don't want to have to completely re-learn once I start.

Hi!

I've used the Type 36A destroyers in surface engagements with British cruisers, and the destroyers sink fairly quickly when hit with 8-inch gunfire.

If you post your training mission to Rapidshare or some similar site, I'll take a look at it.

Default Game freeze

Hi I just downloaded all the files and 1.3 update, and installed it to my vanilla stock game. I can get into the game fine, though when I launch for either the single missions or campaign. the game loads up to what looks around 92-96% done on the bar, and then it just freezes. I left it going for several minutes and then when I go to the task manager in windows it tells me its not responding.

Is there a way to solve this?
any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Farkenal, welcome to Subsim.

Believe it or not, that is normal. The majority of the new items loaded by the GWX mod occur during the last 5-10% of the loading bar.

We put a lot of stuff in there.

It is also natural to get the "not responding" message as your processor is busy.

All you need to do is wait longer. All that data passes through a game engine bottleneck and takes time. (Several minutes depending on your system.) Don't worry, it will load.

Faster systems make load times shorter... but money doesn't grow on trees does it?

Also, don't confuse the loading times with the need for higher system specs. As long as you have SH3 'recommended' specs... you'll be fine.

Load her up again... wait longer... and let us know how it went.

Well, I'd say that if you are already familiar with GWX, you shouldn't have much if any difficulty hitting the ground running and/or replacing GWX 1.03 with 2.0.

That being said, GWX 2.0 will require a CLEAN copy of SH3 patched to version 1.4b prior to installing GWX 2.0.

Assuming we remain on schedule... that puts general availability of GWX 2.0 at just a little over two weeks.

Tough call. I guess its really up to you, mate.

@The Butcher

By playing 2-3 weeks before the release of GWX 2.0 you will have a very good insight into what your going to be up gainst. I'd go for it and play 1.03 first

@Farkenal

Welcome aboard Kaleun

Hi there! Welcome aboard and to add to what our Kpt. has said, my system is under specs but can still run GWX (just takes more time to load) so just be patient. I go make some tea. No need to touch your computer just go and wait. I usualy wait 10 minutes how many minutes are we taking here?
