Default Crashing when trying to load a saved game...

Ok, I am about tired of spending hours on this sim just to have my save games crash the sim whenever I try to load them... Literally hours of time has been wasted and honestly unless there is a fix I am done with this nonsense. Running GWC gold, saving under a different file name every time. Also running the MEP V3 mod and several other popular mods downloaded from this site. Help me or I am done with this, thanks.

In the first pages of the GWX manual there are some recommendations for saving games.

Do not save near other ships or land.

Do not save submerged.

Try to save in interiors (F2) and in TC: 1.

Please list here your mods list. There are some mods with some instability for save- reload games.

Regards.

fitzcarraldo's advice is good. Following the recommendations, most of us don't have any problems with saved games.

But do post your mod list. There are some mods (yes, some available at this site) that can cause corrupted saves in some systems. They aren't posted with a "Quarantine" sign, because other people have no problems with them. And sometimes two mods can interfere with one another. If you post your mod list, folks here can see if anything can cause trouble.

I understand how frustrating the corrupt save issue can be. I had a major problem about a year ago. But, with help from a bunch of folks, I got things sorted out. Now my saves are reliable again. Hopefully, you'll be able to get your problem resolved, too.

I have had similar failures in the past.
I went into control panel-programs manager-install/uninstall and selected SH3 from the list. Then proceeded to the 'repair' option. That has sorted out a few problems for me.

Have you been enabling/removing a mod while on patrol? also if you use sh commander, set it to rollback automatically.
