Default Dont Wait !! Gravitate

I am still poking at my SH5 campaign, but it is so much nicer that I have a better understanding about a u-boat mechanics, using Wolfpack SH5 along with all the SH sims has a learning curve and a continued learning curve. I really suggest that new skippers go up 100% and do realistic playing in SH5. but keep it 95% so you can take some cool screenies. There are so many skippers before you that have so much information On how to do's the do.s of running a u-boat in realistic play-- once you do this gravitate to the ultimate coop play sim -- WOlfPack !!,
As I said I am still playing my Sh5 campaign in the north Baltic but using the Kriegsmarine method of operation (HandBook) available for Download

Enjoy

Well, to tell the truth, I'm still playing SH5 with semi realism, with map contacts visible but all grey and without tails and 'ghosts' - I have spend 3 hours to mod this in a satisfactory way using the protractor and course plotting compas from TWoS to hide most revealing things on the map.

All this to speed-up gameplay without going arcade.

Still I have to use the 4-bearing method or similar method to locate contacts by hydrophone.
If I switch off the contact visibility totally (in-game options), then I'm close to real navigation anyway. And no Sir, I'm not using Enigma...Too complicated, the Kriegsmarine should have stayed at the Vignère Code but making very long passwords

So far, I'm enjoying the game, having 2 SH5 games to play actually, TWoS and my own mod soup...

CAJ is right - Wolfpack 1000x over! The concept of co-op play in a subsim is so at-home in the genre, it's amazing no one thought of it earlier. The feeling when you have a group of people together in a boat showing discipline and issuing and responding to orders in a snappy fashion and watching the results in the form of ships ablaze is about as immersive as it gets. Come on over (but keep on at SH5 as well, as that is still a great game)!

I'm not sure and to be honest, without a single player mode it seems to me as a total waste of what could be a great Sim. Even if I'd get a number of friends interested in a WW2 Submarine Sim, which is near to impossible, the next challenge is to find regular dates/times that everyone suits.
