Default Ubisoft have sunk to a "new" low!

Reading the news this morning in the UK about Ubisofts latest assassins creed releases. They are riddled with glitches and bugs. You guys will probably say "whats new?" The games are practically unplayable on both console and PC. They like to release half finished games and then leave it to the players and modders to fix it for them dont they! Thats going to be difficult if anybodies bought the console versions though. Silent Hunter 3 version 1.0 up to 1.3 were not very good either as I recall for exactly the same reason. Releasing a console game as bad as assassins creed has been reported to be is unforgivable really.

This would be a great post on the website for that game.

Not relevant to us. We have "been there, done that" with Ubi.

Half butt is their idea of a completed game ready for sale.

You are preaching to the choir.

New Low?

No! This low has little support, is halfway finished and will take your money.

Not exactly new.

I take it, it is hard to express sarcasm in a post but I was under the impression "new" in quotation marks may well have expressed it in a sarcastic way. Nevermind. As for the post being irrelevant I dont believe it is. If ubisoft were any good at making video games then some of our beloved mods and the teams that make them may never have existed for silent hunter 3 as the need to mod it and patch it wouldnt exist.

Saved by incompetency! Thanks Ubi!

Ah yes the old debate that has been going on for the last 10 years with Ubi games.

Don't worry Scott, I'm not poking fun, most people look at Ubisoft and think "meh half decent game developer" Then their favourite game gets shafted, or the customers of said favourite game do too. Rinse and repeat until everyone hates them and people boycott their products. That is until the new Assassins Creed comes out, then some is forgiven. Once again, rinse and repeat.

I mean the fact that they wanted to pull their games from Steam because of bad reviews says a lot. Also what maybe a petty dig at yves guillemot, and what could be slander but it has been said by many ex Ubisoft employees. "That he doesn't care about PC gamers because, "90% are pirates anyway""

I'm not even going to finish this semi rant, I'm just going to leave it here with my shame.

A little off topic; what ever happened to that ubisoft community manager from some years back? He posted here and promised to work with the community on SH5.

He worked for Ubi, so he probably got made redundant or just never bothered to follow up.

This has made a lot of sense for the past 5 years or so unfortunately

They destroyed the Silent Hunter series.
They destroyed the Rainbow Six series.
They destroyed the Ghost Recon series.
To be continued...

There is no other software company I despise more.
I may even speak of hate.

And this is why:

They took over some great and unique series and munched them more or less together and bashed their "z0mg we Ubi-guys so kewl look everything's glowing z0mg so awes0me!" stamp on it,
together with making all these games less authentic and less rewarding but more gamey and silly and completely unstable and buggy even on
higher-end systems, cause they don't know how to port games from stupid consoles.
Oh and they invented the worst insult to every game(r):
"Making the game accessible for a broader audience"
= dumbing it down so generation "press 'R' to reload" which is unable or unwilling to remember a few buttons can play it too without feeling the need to cut themselves again.

Can't even remember the last Ubi game I bought. Probably SH4 or one of the millions of IL2 rereleases. It was UBI that was using Starforce, wasn't it? I think I basically stopped giving them money after that fiasco.
