Default Greetings

I've had this account for a looong time, but am only just getting involved in the community. So hello! My name is Ada, and I'm a student of software engineering, hoping to develop a subsim or two some day (am working on a total conversion mod to make a space game into a subsim, however!).

My interests include military history, science fiction, video games, computer science, physics, and all things literature. I also collect antique militaria, with a focus on the 20th century. I have a few bayonets from WW1 and the Cold War, as well as various miscellaneous pieces, like gas masks or a trench whistle.

When I first came here, my favourite subsim was Silent Hunter 3 (though I started with Silent Hunter 2 way back in 2001), but with the recent release of Cold Waters, Silent Hunter 3 has been blown out of the water in every way (sorry SH3 fans!).

I love how friendly this community is and I can't wait to get to know you all better!
