Believe it or not, I can not even get into the Bunker without a CTD with this list activated.

Ok, i got those dl'ed

I will post my findings tomorrow and at least one working mep

Will just have a quick squint at those 2 mods .............

Well, the Free Upgrades messes with equip upgrades, unless edited that maybe a CTD right off the bat

The other without running through software i don't think is a problem or rather a major problem

What i'll do is blend the whole lot as-is

Then it will generate all the problems as i do that

Some mods might be edit fine, but i can see a scenario of you having to choose one over another if i can't get them to coexist

Graham,

For the life of me i can't remember the fix for the 'starting at kiel instead of memel'

Can you rem which mod it was ??

I got your list loaded fine and she fires out of kiel fine n dandy, but alas it should be memel first

I know we worked this out ages ago but my mind's gone blank lmao

ps : check your free upgrades folder, mine was double foldered with seperate mod option folders inside

still can't rem the start at memel not kiel fix lol

You have lost me buddy.
Do you mean you wish to start from Kiel? No problems there, just load mods and it automatically starts at Kiel.
The problem was "starting from Memel", what we did for this was only load UH11 or possibly UI 7.5.0 as well, and it was a case of new game start, go to officer for mission, do not take a mission, do not save, come out to menu, restart and load mission, go to officer, accept mission, get onto boat and go.

Is that what you meant?

The only problem is it starts at kiel not memel .............

I sailed down the kiel canal 32tc til fps picked up near 1st port along the canal, from there to end port on the canal 128/256 all fine

Headed down to dover and went into the harbour, no ctd or any glitches whatsoever

So it looks like sorting the correct start point is the last hurdle lol

Will get a mep and also my gps for the patcher uploaded sometime later tonight (via pm)

If i run into problems i'll pm and at worst be either the wee hours or sometime tomorrow

These mods in the order below cause no ctd's at dover/kiel/danzig bay

I would leave these as-is, i upgraded torps after doing initial mission and getting back to kiel

Next mission is of course breaking the fortress

But .......... i still started in kiel, went top speed to danzig bay, sank 2 merchants, spotted in dark the 2 destroyers, got both completed tasks

Docked back at kiel just fine. upgraded torps, went to main screen then back in, took no mission but went on boat, docked and this as know speeds time up, chose mission breaking the fortress, checked torps were still loaded, pressed esc to goto options to enable external view, chose mission, on boat going out of kiel to scotland

Try it and see

I'm posting my generic patch gps link for you, this should stand you in good stead

Took original game off.
Reloaded completely new game in case discrepancies the files.
Re-did options view finder from beginning.
Re-did patcher, same reason (discrepancies).
Loaded mods list below, which is the one you suggested would work.
Result= CTD just trying to get into the Bunker.
2 days of solid work for nothing!
The disc is going into the bin as soon as I get off the air. No more of this for me.

Hi gentlemen. trust you are both well?
Just an update on Grahams Saga of the SH5 CTD, as you both have been bloody marvelous with the continous help and support that you have given to me.
I think I have at last cracked whatever the problem was. I am not completely sure if it was one specific problem or a number of problems causing the CTD.

However. as you know, i moved the mods around considerably, plus dropped some and added others, as we do.

One of the ones that I dropped was the Dyn env V 2.9 main mod, as JGSME Validation kept showing that it was in conflict with a considerable number of my activated mods, in particular, my Sobers Mods. That being the case, as far as I was concerned, there was no decision to make, Dnv env V 2.9 main mod or Sobers mods. The Dnv main mod had to go.

However, I kept certain DNV individual mods on, as they appeared to work OK on their own bat.

To cut to the chase, I changed illogically, my game pattern, eg; whilst in Kiel with the memmel campaign showing as in operation, I went to Scapa Flow instead, hell it worked;lol; I was able to enter Scapa and play game normally, returning to Kiel OK, and map listing had changed correctly to eastern Britain campaign. Since that point, all so far has gone OK.

Mods currently using listed below, just for your interest.

Berbster, try that option 1 binocular mod I passed to you, donated kindly by Def, as it gives you the control you originally required.

It was good to have you back while it lasted.

The only you will ever get around your problem is by rebuilding a few mods at a time and testing as you go.

I would also seriously consider a reinstall as well.

You may well have a corrupted file in there somewhere that could be causing you the problem.

It is frustrating but it is the only way you are likely to get this working properly.

That is a huge mod list that you have and want to be able to use successfully.

Something is obviously not right so it going to take a bit of time and a lot of patience.

What I am actually saying here Peter is that has all been done, reinstalling, individual mod examination etc; etc;.
This is the finished item and it works fine, so far.
