Bad Ubi! But not so bad, either.

While I applaud Neal's effort to re-direct all the Ubi-hate mail I'm sure *he's* been getting, this forum won't haven't any effect on the Developer.

If the intent is to gain visibility in Ubi's eyes, accurately poor reviews of their product need to be given to those that haven't purchased yet. Ubi then has the choice of accepting a loss in sales, or of improving their product, increasing sales and good word-of-mouth. Sadly, I think the time has long passed for SH4. It was amazing enough to have gotten 1.3, as little as it was. Any more is a pipe-dream. Ubi may spit something out between now and then, but I'm not holding my breath.

I bought SH4, and I occasionally play it, but, sadly, I do not enjoy it as much as I feel I should. Sure, the eye candy's nice, but if that's what I wanted, I would have just bought the box.

Want to get Ubi to change their ways? Tell everyone you know that SH4 sucks and is a waste of money. Either Ubi will fix it or they'll try harder next time.

In the meantime, mein Uboot beckons.

SH2 really made me the subsimmer I am today & I loved both playing & modding it for years. When SH3 came out I was already waiting for it & bought it right away only to shelve it for about a year because of all the issues that didn’t seem right or needed fixing. Fortunately for me & the rest of us the patching & the efforts of this community renewed my faith & I’m loving my SH3 today. I love it so much I bought SH4 simply because even if it was launched only half baked (as did both earlier versions), I was sure it would receive the same respect & treatment as SH2/3 did both official & unofficial.

C’mon Ubi… U can’t drop the ball just yet!

Figures that UBI would market another game before it's ready as they've done it before... That's why I'm waiting until the bugs are gone BEFORE I put down my money.

That the worst Subsim release I have ever played. SH3 was marvellous, SH4 stinks. Not the concept, but the bugs!

That was the last UBI Game for me, if they don´t come up with a patch shortly which REALLY solves all bugs.

For the meantime, I take U-57 again

Default Silent Hunter IV 1.3 Patch

I quite agree with comments made by previous posts. You would have thought from producing SH III UbiSoft would have learnt that quality control of a product is paramount if you want people to buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finishing the sim should be a matter of honor for UBISOFT. I strongly support this thread.

SilentHunter is a great franchise, it would be a shame for it to end on a low note. I support additional patches to address the issues with SH4.

This should be (and I still hope will be), my all time favorite Sub sim. All that is needed is a good Patch 1.3 . . .

I'm up in this thread, too. The radar needs serious fixing.
I guess I'll get my paypal password hunted down this week and throw some money in the pot. There's a few places and I might as well get them all knocked out all together.
