Default Embarrassed!

Just launched the new Narwhal and found that my canon down there is kind of tired and taken a nap.
Is there some kind of Viagra vitamin that will snap him to attention?

Sorry for the confusion guys, it was a lack of Information between me and Keltos. Anyone that can use S3D can fix it very easily.

The problem was created when I helped make some fixes to the Narwhal and passed the info to Keltos since I did not have the final release I could not give him the entire file, I had to give him the infomation. That created the problem with the gun.
My S3D is set to degrees for rotation and it seems that Keltos has his set to radians for rotation. Since I told him to set the gun to 180 (I meant degrees, but did not state that) he set it to 180, but it was radians which rotated the gun 10313.24 degrees on the x and z axis.

Keltos is very busy right now taking some diving classes so did not have time to test it and sent it to Neal for release, knowing I had checked it "in game" and it was fine. But the differences is settings in S3D made it totally different on his machine. I apologize for the mixup, I should have specifically told him degrees and not just "set it to 180". My mistake !!!

If you can use S3D, go to the Narwhal mod, open Data/Submarines/NSS_Narwhal.dat
Open the main node and find the M02 gun or do a edit/find for M02 (that is a zero).

When you have the M02 node selected: Do one of the below fixes if your gun is messed up(only one):

1. If you see 180, 0, 180 for rotation values, change it to 3.141593, 0, 3.141593. That means your S3D is also set for radians.

2. If you see 10313.24, 0, 10313.24 then your S3D is set to degrees so
change it to 180, 0, 180.

Sorry for the problem.

I sent a PM with my info several days back, then read he was away. So, is he still away? Are you still away Neal? Or did I screw the PM up?

Peabody, you my friend are a gentleman and a scholar. Your advice worked wonderfully. Time to show tojo that he shouldn't have left the sub force to itself!

I don't think PM works for this. (mine didn't) After reading these instructions:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...&postcount=794
yesterday I emailed as asked in the above link and he pleasantly replied.

Hope that helps...

Happy Hunting!

I think the guys are having trouble finding the email address. I know I did. I found it on the Main "Subsim.com" page in the menu at the left, as "Contact Us" and a page opens with a link to his email.

That was my problem...I never did find it on the site, I eventually got it from my PayPal account from my receipt.

Default Torpedo loadout

Edited out misinformation to avoid anyone getting confused like I was. This NARWHAL research was an education as well as an eye opener. Learn something new every day!

-----------------
Faded declassified Patrol Reports from Narwhal:

Example, Patrol 6, Narwhal fired Mk 14-3A with the Mk. 6-1A exploder.

Interesting Quote regarding external tubes from Patrol 6: "Remarks. Tubes 9 and 10 are deck tubes aft with fixed settings of 0d gyro and 10 feet". On an earlier patrol with a different Captain under Factors of Endurance Remaining he listed 30 torpedoes.

The point of this post was that it was hard for me to believe that a 20' long torpedo fit into a tube designed for a 15' torpedo and I couldn't understand how they did it until I stumbled upon the big overhaul in 1931.

Really sorry ..... and I hope that I didn't confuse anyone.

summed up here:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...&postcount=813
then forgetting this wrong information was here, I came back to correct this post.

Happy Hunting!
